What we bring into our homes matters.

At Emberwood, creating an incredible fragrance has never been enough on its own. I want to feel good about the ingredients I use in the candles I make and bring into my own home. That’s why I intentionally seek out cleaner, thoughtfully formulated materials without sacrificing the rich, atmospheric fragrance that defines Emberwood.

From our wax to our fragrance oils, ingredients are selected with both quality and ingredient standards in mind. You can enjoy a candle that transforms your space while knowing care went into choosing what was used to create it.

Coconut Apricot Wax

Every Emberwood candle is hand-poured with a luxurious coconut apricot wax blend, chosen as an alternative to more traditional candle waxes for its creamy appearance, smooth melt pool, slow burn, and exceptional fragrance performance.

Our wax is vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, and phthalate-free and is made with waxes derived from renewable sources.

Its naturally soft composition and lower melting point also give coconut apricot wax its characteristic burn. You may notice a small amount of wax along the sides of your vessel during the first several burns. This is completely normal. As your candle burns deeper and the vessel warms, that wax gradually melts down into the melt pool.

Cleaner Fragrance, Without Sacrificing the Experience

Fragrance is at the heart of Emberwood. I want each scent to transport you somewhere; a rain-soaked forest, an abandoned manor, a forgotten orchard, or somewhere a little darker.

But what goes into creating that experience matters, too.

I carefully select premium fragrance oils with stringent ingredient standards, formulated without phthalates, parabens, carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins, or acute toxins. The fragrance oils I use are also vegan, cruelty-free, and compliant with California Proposition 65 standards.

Choosing cleaner fragrance doesn’t mean settling for something faint or ordinary. It means being more intentional about the ingredients behind the fragrance while still creating the deep, complex, atmospheric scents Emberwood is known for.

The fragrances used in our products are selected from suppliers that provide IFRA documentation and are used within the applicable IFRA usage guidelines.
